Canadian trio RAA use propulsive drums, earnest heartfelt vocals, tearjerking organ chords and soaring arrangements to great effect on their new LP Hometowns. The band is based in T.O with the singer coming from Alberta. Filled with moody Canadian imagery and stompy rowdiness, I hear almost a Blue Rodeo meets Neutral Milk Hotel. It might be too early to say, but this is in the running album of the year.
Featured song Frank,AB is really just my favorite track this hour. Every cut is worth your attention. Go buy this.
